The Atlanta based Ghanaian hitmaker, Nektunez, has signed a long term deal with Sony Music & B1 recordings after the immense success of his record “Ameno Amapiano remix“.

With the insurgence of African music and it’s pop culture, this partnership will further facilitate the proliferation and blend of african sounds into western pop culture and beyond.
“We are very proud and very excited to have agreed on a long term working relationship with Ghanaian born and US-based producer artist NEKTUNEZ!

His infections productions combine Afrobeats with modern electronic elements, which make his music attractive to a global audience. We are looking forward to breaking the first African born producer artist on a global level.” said Wolfgang Boss, Executive President of A&R, Sony Music

“It’s always been a dream of mine to be associated with Sony and even better working with someone in Wolfgang, who worked with one of my musical idols, Kygo, on many of his releases. Looking forward to an exciting journey sharing my gift with the world.” said Nektunez.

Singer Cina Soul, rap princess Naa Shawl and Accra-based teen movement, SKY Girls, serve up new music titled UNSTOPPABLE.

Produced by JaySo, the record is described as the “official 2018 anthem for the teen generation”, preaching the need to be “bold, confident and true”.

SKY is a movement by teen girls, for teen girls. It seeks to inspire teen girls to stay true to themselves and what they believe in —to be who they are, not who someone else thinks they should be, to support each other in being themselves, staying true to what they care about and saying no to things that they don’t want in their lives, like gossiping and smoking tobacco.

The movement has a serious purpose and that is empowering girls and building a resilient generation of young women. But it is fun in flavor and built around things they love to do and to talk about.

Edem, Kuame Eugene, Shaker, Gasmilla & FlowkingStone are all featured on Nana Yaa's new EP coming out this August. From what we’ve heard, we can guarantee it’s going to be worth the wait.

Nana Yaa (Aka Manye 1) has dropped major hits that have enjoyed great rotation on and off radio. From her – Don’t Leave Me Alone – collaboration with MzVee, to My Hunny and her most recent single Woman Power; she’s making great moves.

Just last night she graced the stage of aftown music’s acoustic concert series, performing covers from Adele, Asa and her very popular rendition of Runtown’s ‘Mad Over You’. The audience loved it, but when it came to her own singles, what was supposed to be an acoustic concert turned into karaoke session! She had her fans singing word – for – word!

Nana Yaa topped it all with an exclusive listening session of 3 of the songs on her upcoming EP. Nope! She didn’t give a name for the project. Just the assurance that it would come out in August. She did however drop the names of a few of the features on the album. So far, we know of Edem, Kuame Eugene, Shaker, Gasmilla & FlowkingStone. From what we’ve heard, we can guarantee it’s going to be worth the wait. In the mean time, you can stream or download her music on aftownmusic.com. Download the app for android and iOS by clicking here www.efie.co/aft
