Prince Solomon Ajao, better known as SAJ SONGS, is an artiste on a journey to share his culture and perspectives with the rest of the world. SAJ is thrilled to announce his latest single, ‘KonKonsa’ which will be released on November 26, 2021. True-life experiences inspire the song, and he is eager for his fans to hear his work. ‘Konkonsa’ owes production, mixing and mastering credit to Beats Masta ‘KonKonsa’ is a Ghanian word that means gossiping or snitching.

The song was inspired by the harmful effects that rumours can have on people’s lives. Gossiping keeps you from your purpose, and when people spread false rumours about you, it can stop you from being successful, so it is
harmful both to the spreader of rumours and the subject of them.

With the song Konkonsa, SAJ encourages his listeners to use their voices to positively impact and give encouraging words to others instead of making harsh judgments.

“Saa Ara, saa ara, saa ara ,ade akye oo” which simply translates in to the Ghanaian local tongue “just like that, just like that, it’s morning”! An afro beats single from Juls ft Kwesi Arthur, has some sort of lyrical identification most people in the Ghanaian community resonate to, vividly creating a picture of people going about their daily jobs when one takes a listen ,basically on the hustle. With the beat of thudding drums and playing of traditional instruments Juls’ “Saa ara” reeks of a pure African sound with the seal of hip hop beat for its chorus. The lyrical content of the song talks of the daily struggles people go through, but “saa ara” (just like that ) without breaking the monotonym of life, there comes another another morning. A sound that has a little semblance with that of femi kutis’,but fresh enough to make anyone heed back to their roots with appreciation of language and origin!

So far, artists like Akan, Worlasi, Stonebwoy, EL and more have benefited from the marketing and sales opportunities that aftown has to offer; selling their singles and albums to thousands of their fans across the country, and across the world.

So when word came in from Echo of the Afromusicon initiative, it was only right that aftown came on board to help push the grand agenda; The Business Of Music.

Aftown, along with its partners DGN, BBNZ LIVE and Sound Effects, will be playing a major roll in maiden afromusicon conference. Look out for the aftown music workshop, concerts and panel discussions. Sign up to aftown and get all the info first hand!

To Echo we say Thank you for such an initiative, and to potential conference participants, you couldn’t have made a better decision. We look forward to seeing you!

If you’re a fan of Epixode, you’ll hear his love for reggae, dancehall and afrobeats all over the album.

‘3nity’, his 2nd studio album, is a mix of 3 genres on 21 tracks. With this album, you get to experience a new side of Epixode’s music. 3NITY’s production features a list newbies like Craig Bone, Angeo Pablo & Fizzi, as well as some of the OG’s like Ephraim, Dat Beat God & Mix Master Garzy.

The features on the album reflect his desire to cut across Africa with his music. He’s enlisted the likes of Tneeya (Cameroon), Young L (Nigeria), Ammara Brown (Zimbabwe) amongst his Ghanaian hit-makers like Stonebwoy, Medikal, Kwame Legacy & Kurl Songx. Two features to look out for are ‘Faith’ featuring Junior X of Jamaica, and Dear Mama where he features his own mother.

This album is evidently a new chapter for Epixode. One in which he seeks to tap into his love for different genres of music but at the same time cement his name in the books of Reggae & Dancehall.

Check out the album on aftown. It’s available for download on aftown.com & streaming on aftownmusic.com. Remember, whenever you sign up you get to stream a whole month for free. We’d love to hear what you think about the album, so do drop a comment, tweet or post when you get to it.
