The African Union Commission (AUC) in partnership with the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) unveiled the calendar for AFRIMA 2022 during a press conference at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Thursday May 26,2022.
The programme lineup is as follows
- an open call for music submissions from May 30 to August 5.
- a pre-screening of submissions will be from August 5 to August 8
- main screening will be done between August 9 and 16
- a nominees unveiling will be done on August 17
- voting will be opened on the AFRIMA website on August 24 for 24 hours
- the awards will be held from November 3 to November 6
The awards will include a soiree, a host tour, the African Music Business Summit and a nominees’ party as part of the activities that make up the entire program.
