Born Akwo Charles Malonga McCoy, Loocid hails from the Southwest region of Cameroon. His journey into music began alongside his work as a graphic designer and songwriter, showcasing his multifaceted artistry. A graduate in Business Management from the University of Buea, Loocid first performed under the name “Emcee” before adopting “Loocid” in 2023 to reflect his evolving sound. His music seamlessly bridges modern Afrobeat vibes with the soulful essence of R&B, making him a standout figure in the industry.

The EP’s standout track, Pay Day, is a dynamic Afrobeat anthem that captures Loocid’s signature energy. With its compelling rhythms and relatable themes, the song resonates deeply with listeners.
