TALENTED GHANAIAN artiste, Mr Putiti, has said that industry players in Ghana have taken up- and -coming artiste for granted.
According to him the music industry is retarding growth due to issues like, “improper way of monetizing our art forms and state of the art. Lack of financing, due to inadequate understanding of the music business, lack of large auditoriums for performances and more importantly when industry players take new artist for granted especially the upcoming ones
He explained that, Up – and –coming artistes, need lots of support from both the fans and industry to sustain them to the top just like the mainstream artiste.
Dr Putiti who doubles as a producer and sound engineer was inspired by Busta Ryymes, 2PAC and NAS started his music during his Senior High School days, “Well, I fell in love with rap when I started listening to Busta Ryymes, 2PAC and NAS. NAS, because, he is very lyrical. I have delved into afro beat and fusion of rap and highlife because it’s indigenous music and represents us as African.”
The young artiste recently released his debut single dubbed ‘Chill up’ which he says talks about things we aspire to do for fun, when we have money in our pockets. The song was produced by Dr Putiti.
