The experience of Hungarian Culture through music, and the arts is here again. Organisers of the annual Hungarian Culture Festival have announced the 3rd edition, with major events scheduled from the 10th to 13th of April.
This year’s festival comes in 3 parts:
- The Jam session with artists from both Ghana and Hungary at the Republic Bar on Wednesday the 10th of April.
- An Album release party featuring Sena Dagadu & Worlasi. They’ll be releasing their joint EP which was recorded in both Ghana & Hungary. The event dubbed ‘Meet the Hungarians’ would also be a chance for artists in both Ghana and Hungary to meet and network. This is scheduled for Friday the 12th of April at the BBNZ Live Bar.
- The festival would end in grand style on Saturday 13th April with the Connection Concert at Alliance Francaise. This year’s concert, dubbed ‘Horns of Hungary’ will again bring together artists from both Ghana and Hungary on one stage. Billed to perform are Yaa Pono, Manifest, Worlasi, Sena Dagadu and Ria Boss. From Hungary, performing for the first time in Ghana will be the Nart Orchestra; known for their musical artistry in horns. Also performing will be the Hungarian Pop Band ‘Irie Maffia’.
- The Connection Concert will also feature a set from the FOKN Bois (Wanlov & M3nsa) in their first major appearance in Ghana after the Afrobeats LOL album release and subsequent tour in Europe.
