Acclaimed DanceHall King Shatta Wale has been handed the keys to the City of Worcester, Massachusetts – USA on the 8th of July, 2017. This honour took place after his performance at the Hannover Theatre in the city, as part of his current tour of the United States of America.

City of Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty presented the award to the “Taking Over” hitmaker in recognition of his immense contributions to the creative arts industry and also for honouring the City of Worcester with his presence. Shatta as a further token of appreciation donated $35,000 to the disabled in the city.
Shatta Wale joins a list of elite Ghanaians who have been handed keys to cities abroad, with ex-President JD Mahama being handed the keys to the City of Abidjan, Dr. Sonnie Badu the keys to the City of Brooklyn, Okyeame Kwame the keys to the City of Cincinnati among many others[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
