Stream Kuvie’s ‘Gruvie’ EP featuring Kwesi Arthur, King Promise, B4Bonah, OTHERS

Kuvie, the sound engineer credited as one of the pioneers of what is said to be the new Ghanaian musical sound has announced a new project.

A 10-track EP featuring some of Ghana’s chart-toppers including Kwesi Arthur, B4Bonah, Darko Vibes and King Promise is officially out.

Titled ‘Gruvie,’ it also features Joey B, Spacely, Tinuke Noah and Zeporah Dickson. It is available for streaming and download on streaming service, Aftown.

Prior to the release of the EP, a listening session was held at the BBNZ Live Bar on Friday, May 11, 2018.

Personalities in the music and media industry including Official Kwame, Benewah (Harmattan Rain), SwayeKidd (CulArtBlog) and Selorm of Yoyotinz were guests at the event.

Some of the artistes featured on the project were also at the session, and shared their experiences on working with Kuvie.

It was hosted by Y FM’s Kojo Sebor.

The ‘Gruvie’ EP listening session was powered by Aftown and Villain Sounds.

The self-acclaimed “well-executed genius of some sort” is celebrated for his use of urban and African rhythms in his production.

Kuvie’s professional music career started in 2011. His first popular production was Pappy Kojo’s ‘Ay3 Late.’

He works with Nigerian record label, MC Galaxy Crew as an in-house producer.

His production credits include working with Sarkodie, Pappy Kojo, Lady Jay, Joey B and E.L. He is inspired by the likes of Appietus, Zapp Mallet and JaySo.

Born Nestor Kwame Ankuvie, he is a product of the University of Ghana, Legon with a degree in Political Science.
