Gilbert Delali Bosu-Aforve whose stage name is “Cano Z- Dzata” and popularly known as Cano Z is a fast rising young talented Ghanaian Hip-Life and Hip-Hop artist. “Cano Z” is born to Mr Hope Aforve Bosu and Mrs Divine Ablavi Kuffor hails from Adina in the Ketu South municipality of the Volta region. He is the second born of five children. He had His basic education at the A.M.E Zion School Adina, and Amazing Love Schools, Denu. He is attended Senior Secondary School at the Bishop Herman College, Kpando and also studied modelling/cat walking and acting at the Ghallywood Academy of Film Acting.
Cano-Z started his music carrier at a very tender age in the Church of Pentecost where he worshiped at Adina. Cano Z first shot into fame when he participated in the MTN Hitmaker Season 2 reality show in 2013 and was eventually the first runner up. Its worthy of note that during the competition Cano Z was on three consecutive occasions came out as the best performer. This unprecedented fit won him the heart of many.
After the reality contest Cano Z recorded some songs under the Record Label 2131. Subsequently, in order to be more effective and efficient in promoting his brand of music he signed unto the Record Label Dzata Empire. Under the management of Dzata Empire, Cano Z featured on several high-profile events namely: The area code jam, which is a Guinness Ltd. sponsored event in 2014; S-concert in 2015 and 2016; VGMA Nominees jam; Afroma; and Fashion GH; MTN Carols Night (all in 2015). Recently, Cano Z hosted the Spot light, a TV program on TV3 Network. He also granted an interview to Prince; the presenter of Bass Extra on TV3. He now boasts of over 20 tracks and collaborated with Zeal (VVIP) on the track; Chebelebe, Flow King Stone on the track; Destiny and last but not the least featured Edem on the track in title Gbogbofe. In spite of the challenges prevalent in the industry and the unprecedentedly unraveled competition he remains undaunted and unperturbed in his resolve to project his kind of music even beyond the shores of Ghana. His peace song was recognized and selected by Musiga as one of the adopted official peace songs for the 2016 Ghana election.
