BUDDING GHANAIAN artiste Phrame, born Benjamin Arkorful has promised to feed Ghanaians good music and production.
According to him he is known as Phrame the story teller because he tells stories through his painting of frames and music.
In an interview he said “though there are a lot of music in the system but am here to feed Ghanaians with good music and great production. Since I love art and music is also an art. So I paint pictures through my lyrics so my fans can enjoy.”
Phrame said he was exposed to rap music by his uncle when he started listening to the likes of 50 Cent, Okomfuor Kwadee, Obrafuor and other story telling rap songs. At the age 13 he recorded his first demo song and continued performing freestyle on radio shows, secondary schools, hotel programmes and battle.
In 2012 he started recording in a professional studio (Platinum Studios) and due to his hardwork, he got signed unto Trump Music Group (TMG) in 2015.
“I released an EP (Paapa EP) in 2016 which was mixed mastered by Kilo Beat (BSGH) couple of singles and in August 2018 an album was released titled (Brenya Album) made of 15 songs which were produced by Mollex, Sunny Beat, Tek Deep, Molless Beat, Gidi Siq Beat and co-produced –mixed and mastered by FimFim at Platinum Studios. So in total I have about more than 30 songs available in all digital stores (itunes, Aftown, Deezer, Youtube, Spotify, etc.)”
The artiste cum painter also advised that though nothing good comes easily “Music is a tough game and if you are not smart enough to breakthrough and know how to handle issues, it will be very difficult to be recognized. In a way it’s fair and not fair because the sabotage is too much.
“I believe the hard work will surely pay someday so in five years I still want to be Alive with good health and grab all the Awards I deserve. The only competition I have in the industry is myself because I always want to go deep each and every day. My advice to a fan and whoever looking up to me is to always remember God, hope and pray and do not give up in any situation you find yourself and stay Focused”
He looks up to Okyeame Kwame and is inspired by the environment he finds himself and sometimes movies. He recently released a new song which he featured King Prinz dubbed ‘Amen’ produced by Gidi Siq Beat.
