Fast-rising female Ghanaian Disc Jockey DJ Prytty is furious over the lack of support from established DJ’s in the industry.
According to her, as a female, most of the DJ’s she has encountered and asked for support tend to make advances at her, and ultimately demand intimacy.
She says the situation is worrying as it tends to demoralize young talents forcing them to consider giving up on the art.
The DJ industry in Ghana is currently male dominated, as most of the talented females do not get the necessary exposure needed. Just a few female DJ’s including DJ Kess, DJ Akuaa have been able to break through the seemingly narrow industry.
